Zapier

Connect Furcata to thousands of apps with OAuth-based Zaps and no code.

Share article

Zapier lets you connect Furcata to thousands of other apps without writing code. You authorise Furcata once, then build Zaps that pull data out of your account or push contacts and messages into it.

Prerequisites

  • A Furcata account you can sign in to.
  • A Zapier account.
  • A clear idea of the trigger you need — a new contact, a new message, or an account lookup.

Connecting your account

Furcata uses OAuth 2.0, so you never paste a password or a key into Zapier. Zapier sends you to a Furcata connect screen, you approve the access, and Zapier receives tokens it can refresh automatically.

Because the connection is OAuth-based, you can revoke it from the Furcata side at any time. Doing so immediately stops the Zap from reading or writing your account.

Zapier can start a Zap from these events in Furcata:

  • Messages — list recent messages from an account.
  • Accounts — list the accounts you can access.
  • Contacts — list the contacts on an account.
  • Account details — retrieve a single account.

Use the contacts trigger to watch for new contacts, then add a row to your spreadsheet app of choice. This gives you a plain-language audit trail of who joined and when.

When someone submits a form in another tool, use a Zapier action to create the contact in Furcata and send a first message. The phone number is the identifier, so make sure the form collects it in international format.

Use the messages trigger to push a notification into your team chat whenever a message arrives, so nobody has to sit in the Furcata inbox to catch an important reply.

Authorise only what you need

When you connect Furcata to Zapier, approve the access on an account you are happy for the Zap to act on. Use a dedicated account for automations so that a misconfigured Zap cannot touch your main list.

Limits to plan for

  • Contact matching is by phone number. Records without a usable number are skipped.
  • Sending volume is bounded by your plan capacity and your messaging credits.
  • Opted-out contacts are never messaged, whatever the Zap does.
