Pausing an account stops its queue. It is the right move when you want sending to halt without losing the account, its services, its numbers or its history.
Pause or activate an account
Open the account settings
Open the account you want to change and go to its settings.
Find the status control
The status control appears once the account is active or paused. If the account is still a draft there is nothing to pause yet.
Toggle the status
Turning the control on sets the account to Active; turning it off sets it to Paused. The change is saved to the account immediately.
Account statuses
- Draft — the account is still being configured.
- Active — the account is fully operational.
- Paused — the account queue is stopped.
- Inactive — the account is not currently in use.
- Suspended — the account was suspended by the platform.
- Review — the account is pending compliance review.
Pausing is the status you control. Suspension and compliance review are set by the platform, and administrators see the full list of statuses rather than just the active and paused pair.
Pausing stops the queue, not the account
Everything the account holds — services, templates, contacts, numbers and history — stays exactly as it was. Activating the account again resumes from where you left off.
Check what is already queued
Messages already in flight are not recalled by pausing. If you pause to stop a campaign, check the service queue as well so you know what had already been handed to the sender.
